Jack Haddox

Director of Dispensary Operations

Jack serves as General Manager of SWADE’s dispensaries—a role that is always changing and evolving. Currently, he oversees all five of SWADE’s dispensaries, managing everything from hiring and product procurement to dispensary layout and design. Jack has been passionate about helping people in different ways from a young age, originally pursuing Physical Therapy before changing his focus. In 2016, he completed his Master’s Degree at Missouri State University, before joining the Cannabis Industry in Michigan to help open nine dispensaries across the state. Now back in Missouri with new goals, he enjoys occupying a leadership role and setting an example for his team in the exciting nascent world of Missouri Cannabis.

Shannon Stewart-Thompson

General Manager

Shannon sees her role as a General Manager as an opportunity to advocate for patients who can benefit from medical cannabis, in addition to creating a safe and service-oriented environment for all customers to experience. After receiving a BA in Communications (with a minor in Psychology), Shannon joined the United States Air Force, where she gained the majority of her professional experience. Her interest in education and advocacy began in earnest when she became the Community Educator and Patient Advocate for BeLeaf in 2016. Since that time, she has seen firsthand how cannabis use can empower patients to live a healthier, more balanced life. With the Cannabis industry in Missouri in its early stages, she is excited to bring her expertise and passion for education to the people, and continue to cultivate new ideas in the Cannabis space.

Laura “Lobo” Conley

General Manager

As General Manager of our Delmar location, Laura oversees daily operations as well as facilitating relationships with the community to provide a personal, authentic experience to all who are curious about medical cannabis. Her background in the Restaurant/Hospitality industry for 18 years informs her approach to customer-oriented care, as does her B.S. in Integrative Health from Arizona State University, where she first became interested in holistic and alternative health modalities. Drawing on both fields of experience—as well as a personal history with medical challenges that have added to her empathy—she is excited to use her knowledge to help guide patients to make informed, educated choices in their medical cannabis journey.

Max McAnallen

General Manager

Throughout his career, Max has found himself in a variety of different industries—a chef at a French café, GM at a soul food restaurant & music venue, a commercial jingle writer, as well as managing HR and operations for advertising and startup agencies. Couple that with over 15+ years of personal cannabis experience, Max brings an inclusive, punk rock attitude and creative approach to medical cannabis and educating patients about it’s therapeutic benefits.

As a St. Louis native, I cherish the vibe and soul of the district and love the folks who help cultivate it.  It’s an absolute honor to lead the team at the first dispensary in one of the most iconic neighborhoods in St. Louis. Tom Muzzey


As the CEO of Beleaf Medical, Dr. Tom Muzzey brings a wealth of expertise to this role, having served in a number of senior leadership capacities over the years and most recently 10 years as Superintendent of schools. His background includes extensive management experience, strong financial orientation and an advocate for community volunteering. Tom is a serial entrepreneur with a deep understanding of organizational design while leveraging operational scale across a large footprint. He is a strong leader with a proven track record of developing diverse and high performing teams. His experience coupled with the diversity of the current leadership team will enable Tom to quickly develop a growth trajectory, which is critical in the ever-changing, fast-moving cannabis sector. Tom is married to Dr. Kelly Muzzey and they have three adult children.

Mitch Meyers

Sales/Marketing, Team Leader of SWADE

After years of building and marketing brands for Fortune 500 companies, Mitch Meyers’ career took an unexpected turn when she became fascinated with the medical cannabis community. In the twilight years of her career, she launched a new endeavor as the CEO of Beleaf Medical, using her vast experience creating sustainable company cultures and developing engaging brand identities to put Beleaf on the map. Mitch is a self-described “life-long learner” who has thrown herself whole-heartedly into this new industry and is driven by her passion to make plant medicine accessible to all.

Ethan Payer

Director of Procurement

As the Director of Procurement, Ethan oversees the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services essential to the success of BeLeaf, managing relationships and negotiating with company vendors and business partners. Ethan regularly collaborates with BeLeaf team members across every branch of the company, ensuring that all needed supplies are readily available while implementing cost savings initiatives and improving supply chain efficiencies. He was also a one of the key contributors in sourcing and implementing BeLeaf’s inventory and state compliance tracking system in the company’s infancy, and enjoys being hands on in many areas of the company to help it grow. Ethan holds a B.S. from University of Missouri, St. Louis.

Jim Vigland


As BeLeaf’s Controller, Jim handles all the accounting and financial planning required on a day-to-day basis for the company. Jim comes to BeLeaf having received a B.S. in Accounting from Missouri State University, and he is not only a Certified Public Accountant, but also a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. In the relatively young industry of Missouri medical cannabis, Jim plays an essential role in helping BeLeaf grow.

Kevin Riggs


With sixteen years of experience as the CEO and President of an engineering company, Kevin E. Riggs is another pillar of Beleaf who underwent a late-stage career shift to a new industry. Originally schooled in Mechanical Engineering, he has now served on the board of Beleaf Life’s Oils since 2016, and currently oversees corporate governance, business relationships, and DHSS communications for the company. Kevin is inspired by individuals on all sides of his Beleaf relationships, finding motivation both from customers and community members as well as from the rest of the Beleaf staff.

Nicole Thompson

Director of Human Resources

As Director of Human Resources, Nicole is responsible for overseeing talent management, as well as all that goes into attracting the most qualified and enthusiastic team members to the company. Nicole comes to BeLeaf with 10 years’ experience in the HR field, having graduated from the University of Louisville with a B.S. in Organizational Leadership. While her day-to-day consists of duties from overseeing employee relations to managing compensation, benefits, and policies and fulfilling admin roles, Nicole is motivated by her belief that “if a company takes care of its employees, the employees will take care of the company.”
